yeah, i guess i see your point. i just figure that if say a MkIII places very, very well at the SCCA Nats, then i think the accomplishment should certainly be recorded amongst its midship bretheren.
as for the "poof" factor...that is one of the things that really irritates me about autocorssing...
i guess it's a bit frustrating, yet can be frustrating in the opposite direction. i mean, i go autocrossing with some clubs, and if i have't autocrossed there in say 6 months, i haven't issed a thing because the OD is still running the same if not a little modified course. in the same respect, at SOLOII Nationals, we had to learn one course one day, and by the next day it was all totally different. HOLY LEARN A NEW COURSE SO QUICKLY, Batman!

and danG, it's not like one of the shorty-shorty local level courses, either!
