A few problems on a 1986 MR2

Hi, i am looking for a mr2 and i found one of which i am not sure if i should get it or not, it has a few problems.
1. Clutch fuild leaking
2. When high beams is turned on, it overcharges the battery, i have no idea whats going on, please help.
3. the front right light doesnt work, which should be easy to be fixed.

The car is 1986, interior in excellent conditions, shifts well, but it stalled on me when i pressed it. And after consulting with some other friends of mine, they told me that could be the fluid leaking.
engine is awsome, manual s/roof, p/w everything
The guy was asking for 2600, then i had put it down to 2350.
I dont know if i should close the deal with him like that, considering about other stuff on the car, and dont know how much it would cost to fix the clutch and the electrical problem

Help me please, thanks a lot !!!!

where is the clutch fluid leaking from? both the master cyl and slave cyl are inexpensive and relatively easy to fix, check this DIY site www.padandwheels.com. my master cyl leaks also, havent had any probs yet. i paid about the same for mine ,it was in great shape also, then i lost #4 cyl after some spirited driving. i wish i would have done a wet compression test b4 the purchase. i think you could find one cheaper and without the elec probs!

thx a lot. there is one more question, could the electricity problem be big, well here in Miami is really hard to find one of these MR2 in good cond, this one is pretty good, the guy even swapped the engine and it's a red top engine, from what i know is that the red tops could be from japan or the previous guy had painted it.

and i am not really sure where it was leaking, cuz when i stepped on the clutch, the car stalled on me, so i am not too sure about where, in the front trunk, the guy has a bottle of clutch fluid, and "supposedly" he did the job 2 months ago. So if it isnt a big problem, i do want to see what happens.
Thanks a lot!!

well, a little word of advice: replace that leaking clutch master cyl before too long, or you will be sorry! it strips the paint (duh) in the frunk. and since it usually leaks behind everything (out of eye's sight) it'll strip the paint and then the bare metal rusts. also, the frunk liner is usually soaked before noticed. thanks to my lovely previous owners, i found the beginnings of this said rust.

as for the engine swap, sorry, the red top blue top thing (usually found on club4ag) can be very misleading. it can also be a little bit wrong at times. in order to stop confusion, you would be best seved by referring to hi-comp bla bla bla from AE/AW bla bla bla.

your electrical problem is probably the result of a wire that got mis-installed or messed-up somehow from a swap. that or your alternator really needs a voltage regulator. this is a pretty easy fix unless you have to go chasing-down wires.
