You probably have more power/torque... but he has a big weight advantage. I'd assume that when you guys go to the strip and race... it will be purely a drivers win.
your automatic trans is not going to help anything. My 1987 MR2 does not get to 60 in much less than 10 seconds. its not a drag car. Guess it would depend on the road you raced on. But either way, neither car is going to be too impressive on a drag strip.
I say it's a wash. His 5 speed, and if he knows how to drive it, might be the determining factor.
Other than that, the only other thing that might give anybody an advantage is that your car is VVTI, aka where the hell's the torque. He might get off the line a little quicker than you.
Plus I am MR2 biased, so I have to root against you.

I say the MR2 NA, I had an 1987 NA with a homemade short ram, and a Monza quad tip exhaust, and I beat quite a few celica gt's and they were manual, but it just might be that they couldn't drive for shiznit.
he's a 5 speed with 112hp, but at aroud 2500 lbs, he's pretty quick...
however, with your 4 speed, and 130 hp, plus your subs, and i think your car weighs around 3000 lbs (give or take), looks like he's got the advantage...

wouldnt the mr2 look more like a little less than 100hp? i mean thier at 112 but at the wheels more like around 95 right?? doesnt the drivetrain take up some?
