Talking just picked up a 91 mr2 turbo!

I just picked this up and am very excited ive always wanted one of these cars and am looking fwd to modding this car a lot. I do not know much about turbos or the mr2s and their differences but im happy with what ive got now and im sure the more i do the happier ill be! here is a pic for now. Any suggestions as to what i should do first? Im thinking Exhaust then prolly a new turbo. As far as which turbos or exhausts i have no clue yet.

if you havent already, do a tune up..wires, plugs, airfilter, distributor cap and rotor, depending on the mileage, look into the suspension bushings, shift cable bearings, oil change, tranny fluid.....look into do's and donts for MR2's in MR2OC.com..have fun. my opinion, get to know the car before doing the mods...good luck

Nato1012 thanks for the tips it already had everything done except those shift cable bearings i am currently doing the t belt and crank seal oil pump oring cam seals and right side rear outer tie rod end. I work at toyota so its not a huge deal for me. The whole reason i have this car is to mod it. Anything else to look out for?

damn if u work for toyota then its in the bag...imnot too sure how much power you want out of this thing but...i would hold off on going with a bigger turbo and use that cash for an LSD. 91's are notorious for kicking out.

As for turbo's im looking into a CT20B..being that it was a stock turbo for later 2's.

im currently on a stock CT26 and it cuts out pretty quick **around 5500 rpm** on its stock form its a decent midrange car. tIm prepping my car for road racing so my mods wont be for huge power..just efficiency and response along with better braking. **Steel Braided Brake Lines** Cross Drilled Rotors, Axxis Creamic Brake Pads, High preformance brake fluid, GM Synchromesh TRanny Fluid..etc etc..damn almost forgot about the tires and weight reduction

Intake, exhaust, and boost controller should keep you happy for a bit. Nice car by the way!

Go with an electronic boost contoller like the APEXi AVC-R or the Profec Spec-B.

The one and only way to go!

BTW, what are your plans for the car? Will you be doing any type of racing or do you just want something to embarass those pesky mustangs with?

P.S. KO exhaust is an excellent choice!
