5sfe 2.2 motor

Up for sale is an engine and manual 5-speed transmission from my 1991 Toyota MR2. The motor has been rebuilt and has only a little over 5,000 miles on it! The block itself has 125,000 miles on it. The motor was professionally done. It has been bored .30 over-bigger pistons-new rods and bearings-new belts-new alternator-the crank was shimmed and more. I have invested over $3,000 in this motor!

Problems:

It developed a ticking noise one day when I was driving, I had it towed home and it sat there for months. I decided to do the 3sgte motor swap to solve my problem. Well, come to find out...I had the motor looked at and have been told the tick is coming from the top of the motor (As you can see from the pictures, the valve cover has been removed but will be put back together prior to shipment). Probably a very cheap fix and possiby could just be the oil pump. Too late for me to put it back in because I now have the 3sgte motor. My loss is your gain! Motor sold as is.
