how do get factory side vents off??

You need to remove the moulding first.
There is a screw inside the wheel well.

There are 2 nuts inside the interior for the moulding.

There is one nut on the lower portion of the vent as well.
I forget if you have to get to it from the wheel well or the interior.

dose the side moulding have any glue on it?

I don't believe so ... I do not recall any anyway.

Here's my shot at it....

1. Take the phillips head screw out of the end of the side molding in the rear wheel well.
2. There are two nuts behind the actual vent, 10mm if I recall.
3. Then you will need to take your interior apart. Take the side pieces where your speakers are out. There is a rubber grommet even with the side molding. Pull that out.... fit a deep 10mm in there and that will release the last nut holding the front portion of the side molding on.
4. Should pop right out... no glue... etc.
