I'm in the process of turboing my Scepter(5sfe motor). Well, I need 2 more things and I'll have everything I need.
I need a map sensor off of a 3sgte and a down pipe also.
How much should a used Map Sensor go for and where can I find one? I have called all the auto parts stores in town and no one carrys them except for the outrageous price the dealership is asking(Over $300) I have also tried MR2oc.com for about 2 months and no one seems to be selling them.
Also same thing for a down pipe. How much do the used stock ones go for? And what about a good aftermarket used down pipe like a Blitz or HKS?
Any help will greatly be appreciated.
Thanks,
-Terry

goodluck bro, you need to finish that project so we can see it
Thanks bro I need it, I'm stressing that I'm not going to have it done before I go to Spain in June. ANd I'm not haveing some shop do the work either, silverstreakin and I are doing all the work because I want to take pride in the fact that I(along with my friend) did the work The only work that I will have a shop do is the dyno tuning. I'm hoping for 200 fwhp but we'll see as there are a lot of unknowns.

John (NightxAngel69) is a pretty bad ass guy. I bought my tail lights off of him at like 3am... we he put them on. I would recommend buying stuff from this guy. But not the downpipe.... cause thats my department.
Well, here's the update, I now have a down pipe thanks to ishcoleobo But I'm still in need of a Map Sensor. I found one and the guy promised me that he would hold it for me until I had the money(I even offered him more then he asked for if he would hold it for me) Now I found out that he went back on his word(When I have the money) and already sold it to someone else.
Please if you see a 3sgte Map Sensor for sale please let me know right away. This is the only real part keeping me form putting the turbo on my car.
Thanks,
-Terry

will the 3sgte map sensor simply plug in to the 5sfe harness? or will you have to make it work.
also, is your 5sfe going to be running on stock internals? the only reason I am asking such questions is I am still searching for a spare block to start my turbo build. I'd like to have it together and ready for the swap when my stock 5s goes. I have everything but the block\map sensor\ and a msd btm...
good luck with the build and be sure to post any updates
I recently found a guy willing to sell his 93 5sfe with manual tranny and EVERYTHING I will need to FINALLY have my turbo manual!!! the final price was right at $700... that includes a complete and running 5sfe (which will be rebuilt stronger), manual tranny, shift cables, pedal, clutch master cylinder, axles.... and a lsd! shipping is included in that final price... now to source the MSD BTM... and that's THE last part needed.
I'll post more when I get the shipment.... try to get some pics of the work too.
