Engine swap US 3SGTE 1991 > JAP 3SGTE 1994 - Pinout

Hi

Im about to swap enginge from org. US 3SGTE 1991 to JAP 3SGTE 1994.

Everything is just ok, but there is one problem..

At the side of the engine ECU there is a connector EA1 on both engines, it connects the wire from the body to the engine, but there is a difference in the design of the connectors.. i have the pinout for the 1991 3SGTE, but not for the 1994 3SGTE..

And i donīt have the gods to just connect the wires according to the colors..

Does enyone have the wire diagram for the JAP 3SGTE 1994 og does enyone have any clue how to join theese 2 connectors probely?

Thanks and greetings from denmark :-o

Give Dave a call, or pm him... he does swaps for a living, and if anyone could tell you it would be him.

go to www.mr2warehouse.com click products, then MR2 board GB thread... you can ask a question there, or see his email address, i would reccomend pming him or calling.

The 1MZ is already a tight fit. Adding twin turbos will require some major modifications.
Still, it would be an awsome swap-if you have the time, money and fabrication skills to do it.

alright. so if i planned on making it the best road car would the jdm 3sgte vs the 1mz be better for performance or and what turbo should i use to? i have been doing some research and i found a couple that people were talking a bit about the ct20b the td06 and t3 and t4 and the gt28rs these are some that seem to be quite the talk with mr2's but they were all in refferance to the 3sgte. what do you think would work? and i don't wanna rush it either so if i gotta save for something i'll do it

1st of all, where do you live?(this is in regard to how easily you can get parts in your area).
And what are your horsepower goals?
What are you gonna do with the car?
Daily Driver?
Drag strip?
Auto X ?
Hill Climb?
Are you going to do the work yourself ?
If so, a good place to do the work?
Tools?
Money?

of the turbo's you mentioned, I think only the TDO6 will get you to 400rwhp.
But I think I would go with a GT30,
3" DP to exhaust exit
Tial Wastegate
800cc injectors,
dual feed Wolfkatz fuel rail,
Hi capicity fuel pump and FPR.
Spearco IC,
stage 3 clutch(Spec or ACT),
Electronic Boost Controller,
272 cams,
adjustable cam gears,
completely upgraded valve train,
Cometic head gasket .
I would also opt for forged internals for that power level.
some type of stand alone Engine management,..Eg-Hydra Nemisis
