my 2.2 mr2 has been running very sluggish recently. when i step on the gas it runs but idles slow and jerks between shifts. it takes me quiete some time to redline in each gear also. could it be that the fuel isnt burning correctly? leak in the vacuum? i know my car isn't fast but its been rediculously slow lately. i've changed the spark plugs and it was fine for a couple of days but started the same problem again. advice would be nice. thanks.

how are the rest of your ignition components???..cap/rotor/wires??...

wires seem all in place. when i bought the car it came with a jacobs ignition kit already.

sorry..i meant how old are they and maybe you should replace them...
