ummm like you said.... the stereo. Read on the back of your head unti.... should tell what wires are which. If you have a stock radio... I'm not sure how it reads on the back... but should have something similar. Generally..... YELLOW = Constant power and RED = acc power.

no, but then youd have to turn it on and off everytime. Look for an acc connecton. Where are you getting the power from now. It turns off when the volume hits 20? Did you self install.?

holy sheez.. use the acc from the yellow wire, and the draw power from a wire straight from the battery and while you're at it.. rewire the negative.. this is probably why your stereo cuts out, your negative is not grounded properly.

You guys are crazy. way too much work!

I just took constant power from the clock, and ACC from the cigarette lighter. Way easier!

thats the answer i was looking for.. 4dmr2t. which wires on the clock and cig lighter did you use. right now its drawing power from the stock wires. i grounded on a nearby screw but will look for a better ground. ran my own speaker wires. was fixing to try find power source fromo the two locations you stated

I don't remember the colors off the top of my head. Sorry. I was using the BGB as I was doing the work.

I'm at work right now, so I can't look in the book right now and tell you. if you can wait till tomorrow, I can tell you what colors to splice into. unless somebody else can help you sooner.

The clock has 4 wires going to it, and the cigerette liighter also has 4. 2 to the lighter, and 2 to the illum.

I also grounded to bolt behind the dash, and ran my own speaker wire. I've been running it like this now for about 6 months. No problem, and by far the simplest way to beat the factory premium sound system!

I'll get back to ya!
Frank
