Brake's Cylinder

Was trying to replace the brakepad's on the 2 the other day. When my friend and I went to compress the cylinder back to fit in the new pads we couldn't get that thing to move. We disconnected the main brake line, the bleeder valve, and made sure the parking brake was off. Still didn't budge. We used a cast-iron C-Clamp and eventually started using a cheater bar to apply more torque. Eventually there was so much pressure on the clamp that the "C" part of it snapped in half ( fortunately neither of us got hit ).

Question is:
Is there something different about the MR2's brakes you have to do to compress the cylinder, or could my caliper just be fucked somehow?

Thanks in advance,

Caliper sounds screwed up. They should compress pretty easily.... it is most likely seized. You can buy a caliper rebuild kit from Toyota.... or I have a few laying in my garage if you want one. What brake is it??... i believe I have all but the rear left.
