Howdy all,got my 91 N/A roadworthy and took it for a spin of about 20 miles.All seemed well,brakes,acceleration,etc.When I pulled into my driveway and shut down and got out of my car I heard noise coming from the engine area.So I pooped the lid and saw that there was steam or smoke coming from the engine.There also was some major noise coming from the engine, sort of like water boiling from inside the engine itself! While I was driving the temp guage never went above halfway so i assumed all was well.Is this normal for a car this small?I waited about five minutes after shutdown and went back to the car and there was no more noise so I'm hope that is something normal with such a high revving small engined car.I also checked underneath the car and there was no leaking and there was nothing on the ground when I checked 5 minutes later.Am I paranoid..lol?

I have a '91 turbo sometimes i hear the gurgling of hot water from the engine. i have recently change my thermostat , new coolant and evacuated the air from cooling system...I never had overheating probs before and the gourgling noise seems to have disappeared...I guess as long as your not running too hot ur OK...U might want to just do a system flush and bleed air out....but ur prolly alright...

Coolant boiling.... should be ok. Mine used to do it all the time.... since my last coolant flush it has been okay though.

It don't hurt to be cautious and try to head off a potential problem before it becomes a real problem and end up stuck somewhere...

i got a 91 and it does the same thang. but its running just fine
