91 MR2 purchasing help!!!

Well yours trully finally decided to buy one for himself.

Now this is the predicament I'm having. Buy a N/A 91 MR2 for 2500 american(found 5 or 6 of them below 3000 in autotrader), then do the swap for Turbo Jspec engine + the cost of whatever else I have to replace.

OR

Buy a 91 Turbo MR2 (cheapest one I found was 5000), and still replace stock USDM engine with Jspec engine and tranny.


I was thinking since I'm gonna be dropping the turbo engine anwyays to put a jspec one in, is it really worth spending the extra 2500 on a turbo car just so i dont have to buy all other litlle things to replace from N/A to turbo.


In your proffesional eyes what options is better, I also heard to buy MR2s in fall, becuase ppl are most wanting to get rid of them then, for space in garage, or blown motors etc.

i would get a turbo in the first place...doing the swap is time consuming and costly....read the stickie...has tons of good starter info....
