For those that were aware of the Death Pool on Hyde's engine, a winner has been paid. Danny aka rarh from mr2oc.com won with a bet on 200,999. Hyde's engine is opening up at 200,818. It appears my headgasket finally gave up.

The engine is on it's 3rd clutch, 3rd turbo and second tranmission

what kind of head gasket do you plan on replacing it with?

We were going to just go with an OEM one for now, but Aaron at ATS is trying to get me a TTE head gasket

Hopefully we will get it in time.

Thats pretty impressive, any idea what the compression's like in each cylinder? (before the HG let go)

so this TTE gasket is made by ATS? is it any thicker/made of something special... TTE stand for?

I think TTE is "Team Toyota Europe". there stuff is out there but not that easy to find.

MR2Bad has it right on the HG.

My compression is dead on and my leakdown is within spec, but cylinder 2 was significantly lower than the other 3 (but still within spec).

And yes, I got my monet's worth out of that block ... 3 race seasons: 130+ passes on the drag strip, 3 hill climbs, a bunch of autocrosses, 35+ dyno pulls and lots of abusive street driving. Not bad seeing as I only paid $1750.00 for the whole car
