USA A Quick ?

i am boosting at about 8 psi well that what my guage is reading i did a 3sgte swap in my 91 mr2 i had the same motor b4 and i was hitting 10 and the motor felt strong now it a bit slguhish. how does under boost accour?

Try a tune up. New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil and filter change, make sure your air and fuel filters are in decent condition. If your ignition components are old it will harm your performance.... that would be the first thing I would do.

also check for vacuum leaks and pressure leaks in intercooler hoses...

You are most likely getting knock response.

Follow ishcoleobo's suggestions and make sure you are running at least 92 octane fuel. I'd follow up with MR2BAD's comments as well.
