this really really sucks

ok, my local source for engine rebuilders (2) cannot rebuild my 3sgte, so now i have to ship my motor off, to someone i dont know/dont know if i can trust, and to be honest, this doesn't make me angry it makes me sad, you guys understand im sure, so if anyone knows where i can find a good place to get my engine rebuilt at, a place that i can trust, let me know, i only want a stock rebuild, and i only want to spend 1500, if someone out there can just do it for me i can pay you, i dont care, i just need a quality, reliable rebuild to last me through colledge, thanks, im serious by the way pm me if someone wants to do it with your number and ill give you a call and see what can be worked out

CRAP!.... for $1500 you could probably get an already built longblock. I see people selling them on mr2oc all the time.

Did they say why? Toyota got all the parts. You can do it yourself.

Depends on condition of the block and head, minimum is to hone the cylinder which any engine shop can do. They can also clean out all the sludge in a tank. If the crank bearings look good, you don't need to change them. Unless the block /head is warpped, you don't need to machine them.

Still don't know why a shop can't rebuild an engine.
