Hyde takes another 1st place (video inside)

Well, I have finally done with Hyde what I set out to do.
I took 1st place in a drag race and 7 days later I took 1st place in an SCCA hill climb event.
Same car, same driver, different rims/tires and I managed to win two very different events.
I can't express how pleased I am.

I am so happy with Jeff Herstine (my mechanic), NoShoes Moore my tuner and all of my sponsors. I also really appreciate all of the support I get on here. Thank you all

Anyway, my friend in his turbo MR2 and I went at it all weekend. Not only did we swap who was running faster on each time up the hill, but we also kept destroying the hill record I set last fall of 63.2 seconds.

I ended today with a 61.1 and he went 62.2. What a close race.

I even got Hyde completely air born! All 4 wheels and I slammed my ass down enoguh to feel it in my tail bone.

Who wnats to see an in-car video of that?

It means a lot.

MR2Bad, cathing did not freak me out, but it did make me bust up laughing when I finally got the car stopped I had been pushing it all weekend and getting a bit more air each time, mostly just the front of the car. On that run I knew I was going significantly faster and I was extremely prepared/braced for it. It's a blast when you know it's coming

that looks fun as sh*t!!... if you keep catching more and more air, you might want to consider putting wings on Hyde so i guess you know before hand when you're gonna get airborne....what is the distance on that run anyway?

That part of the course is known as "the jump" and we are aware that a lot of cars get air there. There is a spot on another course that I think I am getting air (at least the front wheels), but I do not have verifiable proof of that .... yet.

The course on this video is just over 1 mile. Most of the hills are about that long.
There is one hill that we do that is just over 2 miles.

Holy Sh*t!!! thats some air alright...that would freak me out-even if I was expecting it... .Need a vid of Hyde flying too...Doc, any idea how fast you guys are going thru that jump section? Inquiring minds want to know

I looked closely at the video, and i think Hyde is moving at about 65 mph.
