Question lights in the cluster

today i was installing a replacement antenna frm metra/antennaworks i dont recomend anyone buy this antenna as a replacement stick with oem b/c its a B**ch to install as it doesnt fit flush.. i drained my battery b/c i left the key turned to ignition as i was messing around with the radio to try to raise and lower the antenna mass to see if it was working. i connected a battery charger to my battery and i let it charge for about 20 min. so i turned on my car as it was charging and when all the lights in the cluster went off 2 lights stayed on the ABS and the little engine icon. later in the night i went to drive and get gas and my mr2 went about a 1/4 mile down the road and i noticed the headlights turn dim and the radio lights go dim as well as the gauge cluster lights and then the car started to sputter and then it died. it was because of a dead battery. im just currious does the ABS light come on when the battery voltage is low because it has never come on before for me and the engine icon to the lower rights handside of the gauge cluster is on. could that be because of the battery voltage or because the alternator is done.

really need answer for this ASAP
Thanks
Sean

fixed it

Thank God i didnt buy a new alternator i would of been 200 bucks shor to f money this week. i found out what the problem was in the engine bay in i look in the fuse box and there was a 7.5 amp fuse that blew it was for the abs and ecu so thats why the abs lights came on. and then the fuse box by ur clutch foot another 7.5 amp fuse was blown so i changed both fuses and my problem was solved.
