each person has their own opinon.... I really like the border front clip... and the trd rear sections.... (transformer style!)
If I could keep my current front clip (erebuni 355, with custom flares) and add the trd rear sections.. I'd be set! (in my mind at least)
well, everybodys got their own taste.. i think the TRD kit destroys the elegance of the car.. its too bulky.. i saw 1 with fender flares and it looked furious! beautiful! well thats my opinion.. hehe.. good luck..
if you're gonna get it , you will need those staggered wide rims to fill the fender wells. I like the Kit personally, but it is not my favorite. and i've heard nightmare stories about the install. it will take much work/fabrication... and you will need alot of HP to back up that look...and lots of $$$$
those wheels you have won't fill the wider fenders very well.
I know you must have spent some money on those wheels. It'd be a shame to have to get new ones just for a kit. I'd stay with the border kit. That kit is pretty sweet in my opinion anyways. Just my $0.02

If you plan on keeping those rims.... don't even bother with the widebody.... it will look rediculous. Go with some big ass rims if you get the wbk.... at least 10in. wide in the back
i think that the border body kit is about the best one out there, its my personal favorite, and, you dont have to get the actual BORDER kit, they have replicas that are honestly about the same, i know that one will get a lot of arguement but its all fiberglass, and if you put in the time it will look as great as the authentic kit, the only one who will know its not real is you and you body guy, plus all the cash you will save can get you something cool like a turbo kit, badass exhaust etc.

Reason: had to
I favor the Border kit too. but I wish my body kits were made of polyurethane instead of fiberglass. they hold up better to chipping and road debris. I've had the kit on my '91 for almost a year it's getting nicked to death little by little. i figure at this rate I will have to get another front bumper in about 12-18 months and it will be a Border-hopefully a genuine one made of polyurethane. but then again, I'm a cheap bastard and may end up going with FG again...like you said, there's tons of FB replicas out there..
Yea they make uthrane front bumpers for the border. But what about the rear bumper? i really like a square cut bumper or ones w/ fins like the buddy club rear kits they make for hondas. does anybody make rear bumpers like that for the MR2?
