20v starts-goes 10feet, dies

I'm sure glad I found you guys. I am at my wits end and no one over at that other site has helped. I've just completed a silvertop into my '85 MR2 using (altering)the harness and ecu that came with the motor. It started right up and ran well. It idled, I could rev it up, I couldn't wait to drive it. It had taken me three weeks on one of the hardest projects I've ever attempted.
I went inside, cleaned up, changed and went out to drive it. Started up, let the clutch out, engine dies and won't restart. I still hear the fuel pump, still have spark,no injector clicking. It did start one more time but would not rev. I felt the injectors clicking, about a minute during which time it would not let me rev it at all. Injectors stopped clicking, engine died about 5-6 secs later. What do I check next? Bob('85 since new)
