door speaker access/replacement

What's the easiest and least destructive way to get to my door speakers of my 1991 MR2. Thanks in advance for the help!

well... the ONLY way is to remove the door panel. there are about 5 phillips head screws along the outer edge of the panel... then you'll have to remove the plastic shroud that is around the door release lever (the thing you pull to open the door from the inside).... THEN you have to pull upwards like a mother on the door "cup"... it's where you normally would hold onto the door to pull it closed.. I use it for loose change...
then you'll have to disconnect the "push tabs" that hold the door panel to the door.. they just snap loose.... then gradually lift the door panel upwards away from the door, then pull it off.

now you can access the speakers! there are three phillips head screw holding them in place ... I think

good luck
