RIP... Just totaled my baby :(

Yep. Digi pics are up at Pics are now up at http://www.forperformance.com/totaled Hope you have strong stomachs! Whole right side of car is bent and caved in cluding the frame, the t tops shattered, the windshield shattered, my front passenger side rim shattered, my aeroware side skirt on that side shattered, my GReddy front lip shattered, cf hood is bent, fenders are caved in, windows on both doors are shattered, passenger side door is caved in, front bumper is massacred, roof is bent, but the rear of the car is fine. Anyway, you're all probably wondering how I did this... well I took my hands off the wheel for no more than 3 seconds going 35-40 mph to look at or adjust something, I honestly don't remember what, and by the time I got my hands back on the steering wheel, my 2 had already swallowed the telephone pole. This happened on Saturday, September 7th, 2002. I am really kind of depressed about this whole situation because I am currently paying $700.00 a month for my car and I've put about $30,000.00 into it and now it's totaled and there is no way I am paying $700 a month for a totaled car. The only problem is three of them were personal loans and one of them was the car loan. Anyone know a way to get out of the loans? Or am I just going to have to claim bankrupt? Anyway, I am pretty much fine, just 3 scrapes on my hand and a scrape on my knee and a black eye. I am ok though, I didn't have to go to the hospital. This really sucks though. I'm gonna miss my baby

Best regards,

Mike

sorry to hear that man... i hate to see this on any car... ppl be careful driving....

maybe u can try to sell off some parts of ur car i mean u put down about 30gs on it maybe u can get some of the money back so u can pay back ur loan.. at least rte?? well if u got engine mods and wat they are that's probably ur easiest sale.. also if u got a 3sgte ( i dont know didnt look at ur picture yet) but if u do im sure u can get a pretty penny for it if u have it modded up already...

Oh my gosh, that was one serious wreck man! Sorry dude, I was rear ended in March, lost my 1st 240, 10g's down the tube! Anyway, you are seriously lucky to not be hurt. i smacked into the center median at 120km/hr, still hurting to this day! Be grateful you are not hurt, F the car, as easy as it is for me to say that, THE CAR CAN BE REPLACED, YOU CAN'T. You are the only one who is going to miss your car, imagine how many people would miss YOU? Sorry if this sounds harsh, but I was in your shoes not too long ago, your ego will heal, just be grateful nothing else has to heal. Did you go to the doctors? I would if I were you.

take care, wish you all the best with your next car

Sorry that I'm digging up an older thread, but I'll comment regardless...

Man, I don't think anything I say or do is gonna help you any. I mean, I don't know what to say. Now I've never experienced having lost a possession that was close to me, like your car was to you, but I have been in some pretty damn deep ruts man and it felt like sheeeeeeeeeeiat! And with how much I value my car, I don't want to even think about her getting wrecked.

But dude, I'm seriously sorry man. That has to suck (quite utterly) and I'm sure that it won't be something so easy to get over. But hang in there man. Other people on this thread made a very good point about you at least not being seriously injured. Like they said, your car's replacable, but you are not.
