Gen1 Emissions Removal = Power?? Aw11

Does removing the emissions yield some hidden HP? My car is strictly a track car. I'm just wondering if it's worth removing is all. Anyone ever dyno their car before and after removing the emissions?

i didn't dyno before some of the removal because my car didn't have it when i bought it. don't do the cat gut thing as it causes some weird turbulence in the cat coverter body. if nothing else use a testpipe.

If you have the OEM ECU the car will not run very well. All those vacuum hoses are part of the entire network from EFI to Fuel combustion. Unless you upgraded to a programable ECU, I would leave it alone. Regarding the CAT, get rid of it (If you still have it) specially if its a track only car. This will move some power to the upper RPMs. Finally, if you did not upgrade Cams/Pistons ignition, you will not gain by removing the ECS.
