MAy be getting a '99

Howdy all,
I Just got a few questions on the '99 MR2's as i may be getting one and using my Rolla as a project car. What i was wondering is... Are they as reliable as the Corollas, do they use the 4AGE's or another, and are they any good as a daily driver.

The one i have found is a '99 - Black with Targa Top, only 100k and only $17,000.

Thanks.

n/m... I actually went to the dealer today. Tis a 3S-GTE. As far as i know these are as reliable as any other toyota engine.

I have decided. As soon as the debt is paid off i am going to get it. (If it's still there that is)

Only issue I have with my MR2 as a daily driver is lack of space if you have more than 1 passanger.

The cars are reliable and so far I've found no real problems.

Be weiry looking for a grey import. I was first looking for a turbo MR2 and found so many bad MR2's out there. Sure it looks hot with kit/wheels/goodies, but many are poorly treated and maintained.

There's plenty of MR2's in Australia. Keep your options open.

The MR2 is built for 2 person, and if use it the right way (2 person that is) there is more then enough space ... Here's what i say MR2's stands for... Mid-engine Rear wheel 2 seater

^^ Apparently - that is exactly what it stands for.

Yeh. I dont plan to have more than one passenger in it anyway, especially now that my Fiance has left me and there aint plans for kids in a few years anymore.
