With enough money, you can tune a twix bar to 700 hp...

Practicality needs to be a factor when choosing what you want and how it will be put to use. :/

wouldn't having a 700hp in a lightweight, rear weight-biased, RWD car (lol, mr2) be extremely difficult to drive anywhere except the dragstrip?

hell, with enough money u could turn a honda civic into a cadillac cts (exterior cosmetically)....O wait! someone did that already...

Just because you have 700 HP does not mean you have to use it all

I should be exceeding 400 rwhp within a month and I absolutely plan on using for road racing. Hopefully, by next spring I will be over 500 rwhp.

... as for 700+ ... I would gladly try it

The biggest problem I have seen in really high hp MR2s is the relatively short wheel base. It makes the car very twitchy at WOT which can be very fun

that engine is actually made to fit a supra isn't it? that engine is the same setup in the 3sgte Top Secret Supra. Seen it in Super Street.

the reason for the 3s in the supra and not a 2jz (which can make 600hp+ easy with just bolt ons and stock internals) was probaly a weight issue, or RPM issue (3sgtes can be worked to rev higher, more rpm = more gas flow = more boost), or space issue (v mount coolers anyone?) or even a show issue :P

ANY engine can be made to fit any engine bay, even if parts of it gotta stick out of the exterior of the car to fit :P

all you need is mucho money.
