Another important step in recording the MR2's History

Another Registry has been added to the official MR2 registry page:
http://www.mr2ownersclub.com/mr2records/mr2records.htm

Only MR2s reaching or surpassing speeds of 150 mph will be added.
All entries must have documentation from official race results or timeslips.

Videos are highly encouraged. Photos are expected.
There is one video on there now.

If you can build an MR2 that surpasses 150 you should be able to work a digital camera ... or at least know someone who can

If anyone has information online of other MR2 land speed attemps, please link me.

wow! that would be a crazy fast mr2 to be able to hit or break 150mph in the 1/4mi!!!

maybe u should suggest a disclaimer to not try this on public roads or by yourself (in case u loose control, etc.)

I read the mr2oc thread on this subject and it was just sickening... i doubt youll find anyone who will discect your posts or psychoanalyze you

I think its great, i hope to get a speed cut defenser in the near future (damn japanese speed limiters) and just maybe, after i get some $$ and race on a true race track, i can post my name up there (thats an aspiration of mine anyways)

Thanks Drifting Dane, all of that stuff has been edited out now.

np, you may want to pick up the latest edition of Sport Compact Car... i skimmed through it at the supermarket and there is an article in there about the salt flats... i think it is just a documentary article (about an event, and not about land speed racing in general), but i thought it was relevant nonetheless.
