New bits for my MR2

Got a set of Tom's TN06 18 inches ready to go and a some coil overs. I've got tires coming in this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Decided to get some P-zero nero's for the front and P-zero assymetrical for the rear. Don't think I will have time to fit the coilovers this weekend but next weekend is a sure thing.

Tom's TN06 18 inch rims. Fronts are 18x7.5 +30mm. Rears are 18x8.5 +40mm

D2 coilovers. Height and damper adjustable. Going to have to get out on the track sometime this month to get the setup spot on.

The D2 kit came with sway bar links and other bits to adjust the damper from the top.

I'm going to keep the standard rims and put some better rubber on them. I've got Bridgestone RE55's on my list and stiffer swaybars to crack some serious laptimes. I want to give the Type R guys a heart attack when I'm out there.

Going through the brochure, it's manufactured by Fubu Auto Parts.co. Ltd.

I'm guessing it's manufactured by Fubu then badged as D2.

Wheels have been put on.

Coilovers are going in on Friday and then going to get alignment done on Saturday. Thats IF things go to plan, as we all know when tinkering with cars, nothing ever goes right.

nice wheels, and can't wait to see how that suspension works out for you

I'm running 215/35/18 on the front. There is no rubbing issues so far but once lowered I'm worried there might be. But I'll have to wait and see.

Bah! Stupid D2 coilovers! Not all went according to plan (never does with cars!).

The camber adjustments are a waste of space! You can't access the screws with an allen key. The hole on the chassis has enough space to clear only a few bolts but the rest you can't get to!

However! Yes you can still adjust camber. Where the strut connects to the suspension arm/brakes are 2 holes for the big bolts. The bottom hole is a round circle so you can't move that bolt. But the top hole is oval, allowing you to move the discs when connected. Thus camber adjustments can be made here. Hard to explain but you can.

It's a pain also to adjust the damper on the rear. You have to remove the 2 side panels next to the engine cover to access the damper adjustments. l'm leaving them off until I find the right settings.

Last but not least the lack of a hole to fit the ABS sensor wire on the front. The stock shocks had a plate with a hole specifically for the ABS wire. But I quickly fixed this by drilling a hole on the plate of the coilovers and attaching it there. No biggie.

It's too low at the moment. It scraps every now and then but Sydney roads are shocking so I'll have to raise the car. Looks good but I want the car to be practical.

I was kinda wondering about those adjustment screws up top on the strut mounts... I'm surprised they designed them that way ... the only holes on the frame are for the four mounting bolts, and the main strut\strut mount nut.. glad to hear you got them installed anyway

As requested! A little dark but hopefully you can see.

I've booked the car in next Monday to get it corner weighed, springs tensioned properly, height adjusted and aligned. The instructions said not to adjust the spring but when I opened the box it had been changed already (left and right springs were at different spring heights).

the second number in a tire size is a % of the first number so it's much more than 5mm. more like .4" further from the fenders than a 215/40 18.
