yeah, so what if I'm a noob? anyway I don't really have a clue how many generations the MR2 has but I'm just wantin to know what kind of engine would be best for the most power, cause I'm thinking about doin a kit car based on the MR2 and I want it to have as much power as the Ferrari it's modeled after
^ I've seen the camry V6 in them. and GM V6...you're best bet is the 3sgte that the turbo version comes with. build it to 400HP.....been done many times...$$$$! PS.- there are only 3 gens of the MR2
hey, at least I know the name and make of the car right? I know some people that could care less what the name or make was just so long as they could get one
Your best bet for reliability with a lot of power is the MR2 MKII drivetrain from a turbo car. 91-98 The best motor IMO for that car is the 3.4L 5VZ-FE. It makes right around 220 ft/lbs torque before superchargeing. There are people making better than 300horsepower and 350 ftlbs of torque with the TRD supercharger and 2.2" pully. If I were building a supercar replica though, I would just put in a 1UZ V8 with a G50 box and make some REAL power.

wow! thanks, yeah I'm wanting this car(if I get the body) to have some good power to the wheels, because its a replica of a Ferrari 360(spyder I think, convertible version whatever it is) and allthough the originals didn't really pump out a lot of power it'd still be nice to have a fast and hot ride, ya know what I'm sayin?
