horsepower

Hey, how much horsepower can you get out of a second gen MR2 that is N/A? I have an 87 supra turbo with 230 HP, and am thinking about buying an MR2 but can really only afford a N/A one which is like 100 HP less than my car now? Any ideas for upgrades to gain more horsepower thats not as expensive as putting a turbo in it or doing an engine swap?

intake, intake manifold, headers, Lightwieght crank and alt pullies, lightened flywheel, cams, higher compression pistons, thinner metal head gasket, etc. or Ripmods makes a supercharger for it. HP is not cheap. if you want significant gains, it's gonna cost you. just cough up the extra bucks and get the Turbo version..

By the time you do all of the stuff Russ said..... you will have spent 2x more money than you would pay between the difference of an NA and turbo.

Buy the NA and save up to do the swap.
Or just save up to buy a turbo MR2
