2nd Generation another fuel pump failure question

i have a 91 turbo mr2 and like, i was doing donuts and my ecu shut off and my fuel pump needed replacing. idk what happened, but it is fixed now. but i was wondering... can doing donuts affect the fuel pump in any way to just shut off or could it be that my car had about 150,000 miles on it and it was just worn. because i dont want to try a donut again and have my car breaking... again. well, if anyone has answers id appreciate it. thanks

Well doing donuts is not a great idea in the first place, although they are fun
If your fuel pump really went out, I would think it was just from use, not abuse.
Unless by some bizzare way your tank was low and the pick up for the fuel pump went dry and you burnt it out.
