His engine clearly has the AFM in place, it is not running off of the MAP.
It's a Gen II so it is still using the AFM Regardless of MAP vs AFM, the OEM BPV will out perform that style HKS unit.
That BOV in the photo is not recirculated.
If look at your positive crank case vent (PCV) and follow it to the intake tract, the BOV would recirculate just below it. the PCVV is the think stsicking off the driver side of the valve cover and pointing toward the front of the car. Both the PCV and BPV/BOV get vented into the big black intake tube that is connected to the front of the compressor of the turbo.
You will be fine driving it home. You are most likely going to blow a bit of black smoke on shifts (from running rich) and you will not have ideal gas mileage.

Good eyes Jeff. I didn't read carefully. As soon as I saw "clip", I assumed it is a Gen III clip.
Now when i drive my car home (from PA to FL) i shouldnt have any problems unless im shifting WHILE im boosting, correct?
I dont really want to work on my car before i drive it home (lack of tools, feeling rushed in my installation, etc.)
i have the newer style hks (no adjuster-screw thing on the side) on my car and it runs fine, just a little rich when i shift. you shld def be ok to drive it back from dave's shop, well aside from the now ridiculous price of 93 gas (around here $2.80/gal).
btw that tein rod looks interesting...good choice on the clip....looks clean.
jon_fujioka - i honestly have no idea... id have to check and see which model it is... naturally it will come with everything necessary to fit it to your MR2. I dont suppose youll be taking off the stock one (?) ill repost when i figure out the details of the BOV, as well as the condition, which i wont know until i pick it up (itll be a good price too).
BDSL - dont rub it in... its a gen. 2 but it doesnt matter after about 300 ps or so i read.
keck03 - Thanks! the Teid engine dampening rod is a peice i was looking into until i saw hardcore engine dampeners (see J&H's) but im now glad i didnt buy one because of what came with my clip. This clip has by far the lowest milage of all the gen2s and gen3s. Thanks again on the referral to kirk for those motor mounts!
Also to anyone else interested: i will be selling the Apexi intake kit that came on my clip after i pick it up... i just bought a new one and i polished it by hand ( ). price will depend on condition and include heat shield, filter, used gasket, all mounting hardware, and intake pipe(so long as all these come with the clip). just let me know.
cool, ill keep watch on this post. and good luck with the swap... i assume. oh yea... and the apexi intake... i wouldnt mind looking into one of those either. ill just wait till u post the prices
