ive mounted a 12 inch fan on the engine lid tucked tight under metal vent by first removing the metal piece, mounting the fan and reattaching the lid piece. now i need a reliable power source for it. where shud i get the power from. i was thinking running it to the battery with a switch?

i have a Q for ya. kinda off your topic, but do you have it blowing down on the engine or sucking the heat out?

tater_tot: the air flow of hte MR2 engine bay is from the bottom and sides up through the top. It would be a drastic error to have a fan pulling air into the engine bay from the top. The correct way to do it is to have it pushing air out.

I am not a "fan" of engine lid fans as I suspect they are more of a hinderance to air flow at speed. My preference is for mounting 2 fans on the intercooler (one on each side).
