boost spike!!!!

i wrote a little while back that i was getting a electronic boost controller,which i did,but now iv installed it,it seems to boost spike,and one of the reasons i got a evc was so this would happen!Its a HKS EVC III,has anyone else fitted one and had a similar problem?
It spikes about 2psi for half a second before settling,and the offset doesnt seem to make a difference,if i had maximum boost set to 15 or 16 psi,would a extra 2psi boost spike be dangerous for my engine??

hks ebc's + internally gated wastegates = inconsistent boost. these ebc's typically work better on external wastegate setups. you should've researched more.
