Unhappy Alignment

My 92 MR2 Turbo is out of alignment. It has me really worried. I'm afraid something seriously mechanical might be wrong with it. It seems like I heard somewhere that these cars are damn near impossible to re-align. I'm going to try and get it fixed, but "the glass is looking half empty" on this problem.

Has anyone had this problem or could maybe tell me what my chances are that it just needs re-aligned? Damn, this sucks.

Thank you. That makes me feel alot better about my chances. My friend has me worried. He was talking about how something major could be bent. I forget exactly what he was saying, but he knows alot about cars. Then again, he hasn't even seen the car, yet. I'm thinking it just needs re-aligned. When I take it on the highway, it will start to sway left & right, and if I let go of the wheel, it will begin to veer to the left. People driving behind me probably think I'm drunk or that I'm some moron who can't freakin' drive. Oh well, I'll get it fixed as soon as possible. I hope...

How old are your tires? Old tires can cause your car to sway around too

just take it to any reputable tire shop, and they will look at it and tell you what is wrong. is does not sound like anything major is wrong with it. maybe just needs new tires (if the current ones are old) and a re-alignment. nothing would be bent unless you hit or ran over something.

Mine does the same thing, but it was the cause of me semi-rallying in snow on my driveway. I felt dumb afterwards.

Actualy, as I type this, I'm getting ready to head down to the tire shop to get new rear tires. The ones on the front are brand new, but the ones on the back are completely bald on the inside. Once I get the new ones, I hope to see some what of a difference, but I doubt it will completely fix the problem. If it does, great! If it doesn't, then I plan on getting it re-aligned this coming wendsay, which is the only time I have to do it.

Work and sleep, that's all I can do anymore. Damn I hate working two jobs.

well, I got the new tires on. I can tell a bit of a difference, but it is still out of alignment. Hopfully all will go well wendsay and there won't be any major problems with the car.
