... so we were hoping to hit 400 rwhp @ 20 psi.
I would like to thank
Bryan "NoShoes" Moore for being the awesome tuner he is.
I would like to thank
Aaron & ATS Racing for their continued dedication to the Hyde project.
I would like to thank Jeff Herstine, my mechanic, for building me an awesome car.
And a special thanks to
turbohoses for coming on as a new sponsor of Jekyl Hyde Racing along with all of my other sponsors. What a year!
Also a note of thanks to ChrisK & RickyB.
For all of those people that said going to such a large intercooler (24X12X4), with such long and large piping (3" Mandrel bent) and huge throttle body (90 mm) would result in lag, please enjoy these results ~ they are dedicated to you
. Please note the minimal difference in lag below 4200 rpms and the slight
increase in spool above 4300 rpms
Maybe it's time to put 3" pipe and trunk-mounted intercooler worries to rest?
Previously: 384 rwhp (377 on runviewer) @ 20 psi.
Now: 424 rwhp @ 20 psi
Now: 440 rwhp @ 22 psi
Intake temps @ the intake manifold never went over 90 degrees.
Dyno (old 20 psi vs new 20 psi):
NEW Dynos of 20 & 22 psi:
Final Trunk mount shot:
Custom scoop to collect under the intercooler & ATS's new 3" exhaust!
Final engine bay shot:
Rear of the car with the cut out between the lights and the Subaru scoop.
This shot was taken with a point-n-shoot and it autoflashed.
The junk inside the mesh is not that visible normally.
90 mm Q45 Infinity throttlebody, TurboHoses hoses and McMaster constant-tension worm drive clamps.
SPAL Fan, OEM BPV and idle control motor with a little speciality plate from ChrisK.
Hydra Nemesis (Go Ricky!) and Aquamist water injection pump and inejctor.
