oil light??

ok so there is this orange light that came on today. looks like oil with some little wavy lines under... what is this... anyone know.. i just put 3" DP and 3"pipe to 3" muffler after the flexpipe.. sry i just dont know what it is... i have been trying to find out what tht light means and havent found anywhere.. all i can say is help

it's either your "low oil level" warning light.... or a "low oil pressure" warning.... check the oil level first... if it's low.... fill it up and see if that helped the light prob.... if that doesn't work check the oil pressure sensor just to the driver's side of the exhaust manifold on the block... it is a circular-looking piece of alluminum with a wire leading to it.

ok so its my oil lvl light and oil is completely full and it still comes on after a few moments....hmmm..

Either broken oil pressure switch/connect or really bad oil pump. You sure its not coolant over heat light?

yellow oil light is low oil level....red is low oil pressure......

if you car is sitting on an incline for awhile idleing, it will set off the oil level lite.

I had a bad thermostat awhile back and overheated, I don't recall seeing a light. just the needle buried in the red..
