Hello guys, I had a problem with my 3rd gear being stuck and apparently my mechanic informed me that it was a problem with the synchros....I'm now left with my car unable to get into 3rd gear as I drive (it gets really stuck and heard to get out). Apparently I think it is cheaper to just get a transmission and install it as an RNR. Should i get another used mr2 turbo tranny? Or should I just get the MR2 Turbo tranny with LSD. Is the LSD one more difficult to install? How much would each of these options cost? Please advise.....

If money is not a concern, I would get a brand new 93+ LSD tranny (about $1800).
You will need the inner stubs for the LSD axles as well which will be a few hundred bucks.

The 93+ trannies have beefier syncros and can take more abuse.

Any used tranmission you buy is going to be a gamble.
Your cheapest option is going to be to rebuild your 91 or get an RNR 91.
