fuel cut defender

alright so i just got a greddy fuel cut defender and i love it. great buy and would highly recomend it. i have a manual controller and i set it at 15 psi and im not going any further cuz ive heard thats about max for the stock turbo. but i was wondering, since mr2's run different boost settings in different gears: ie 13psi in 1st and 2nd, and 15psi in 3rd and up, would i be able to do something that would let me run 15psi in 1st and 2nd?

Nothing is stopping your car from producing 15psi in first or second gear except that the engine won't flow enough air into the turbo. I don't think there is anyone that hits full boost in 1st gear. Your generally rip through the RPMS so fast that the turbo doesn't have enough time to produce (for example) 15psi.

The GReddy unit eliminates fuel cut, it does not raise fuel cut.
You could do the same thing for free by corking the vac line to the OEM MAP sensor.

As for your boost question. Boost is built by load and there just isn't enough load in first gear to hit max psi.
