20v into 89 MR2 N/A questions

I'm having the swap done soon by Dr. Tweak at http://www.phoenixtuning.com/, but I had a few questions...

1. Should I get the head ported and polished? If so, anyone know of a good shop in MA/NH that could do it?

2. We are going with the MegaSquirt and distributorless ignition... any thoughts?

3. What about a turbo? Possible? Probable?

4. What about the 4agze supercharger?

5. What kinda gains will I notice? Will it be a big difference in power?

6. What kinda times in the 1/4 am I looking at for a no options except AC car?

7. What kinda woes will we have hooking up the 4age AC compressor to the 20v?

Anything else I should know?

to be completely honest.... you're going to be disappointed with the amount of time & work & money put into it compared to the gains.

I am currently wiring MS & EDIS4 up to an 85 mr2 with a silvertop for a friend.... it would have started yesterday if the starter was actually kicking over..... however once it's running i doubt it will hang even in 1st gear with my 87 & GZE on MS....

also... i generally wouldn't reccomend MS to anyone that doesn't build it & wire it up themselves..... the ONLY way i would reccomend it is if the person doing it for you is willing to make sure all wiring is clear/easy to understand and make some sort of wiring diagram to you....

imagine that you're getting on the freeway and your car shuts off...... what are you going to tell local shops.... "so... i have an 89 mr2 that just broke down on me..... it has an engine not available in the US and is running on a computer that was built by hand"

i'm not trying to be rude here.... but MS *can* be touchy at times and/or blow internal parts..... if you don't know what you're doing you will be in a world of hurt.

IF you decide to go through with this, i have silvertop maps

Well, the guy doing the swap does nothing but Toyota swaps, and he suggested it, so I would guess he knows what he's doing!

Yah, I kinda figured the difference wouldn't be all that great.. which is why I'm looking into a turbo or supercharger!
