I'm sure it could be done. But why would you want to do that? It would take waaaaay toooooo much work than what it's worth.

well i am basically looking for a diffrent engine because i have a 5sfe that has got 120k miles on it and this is the first i found and dsm have a very high power output to what i have seen
eaither way i was going to buy a engine put most the upgrades out of it get all i can out of the 5sfe and swap the new engine when my engine dies or i feel there is a good amount on the engine i could jsut get a 3sfe from japan for about 2000 or i can get a crappy engine from a eclipse or mr2 and just rebuild it from bottom to top

Get a 3S-GTE with tranny, ECU and wiring.

A sledge hammer, dimond edged angle grinder and, wire welder would all help.

How much power was it making?
I know those things can make some pretty serious power.
(I would still prefer the clean band of a Toyota mill, but hey, the more horses the better =P)

Thats a bull shit comment. There is plenty of aftermarket for the 3sgte.... you just can't be a cheap ass. If you want cheap power go back to Mitsu or buy a Honda. There are TONS AND TONS of cars over 400hp..... a good amount over 500hp.... and a handfull over 600.

I'm posting this picture knowing everyone hates extremeboost.... but they still deserve the respect.
