Factory boost maxes at 11.8 psi, so running 10 psi would require you to turn boost down.

Do you have an aftermarket BOV? this may be the cause.

Are you sure you aare measruing BAR?
1 BAR = 14.5 psi
So if you are running .6 you are hitting 8.7 psi.

I would first question basic maintenance items:
Cap, rotor, wires & plugs?
Fuel & air filters?
What kind of fuel are you using?

i have the greddy type S on it. Going back to OEm though. but the car boosts 0.6 just like it did with the oem. as for gas they dont give specific octane ratings but i hear its like a shitty 88 but others 95 not really sure. as for ignition what shud i look for in terms of seeing if things need changing. i'll have my timing checked aswell.

You should have a fresh Toyota ignition ~ cap, rotor and wires and some good cooper plugs (or at least some factory platinums).

What year is painted on your ignition wires?
If it is anything older than 2003 I would be concerned.

If you are using 88 octane fuel, you are never going ot be running at your full potential.

Whoah hold the phone. One bar =14.7 psi. This won't make so much of a difference on low boost, but if someone were to run say 30 psi, you saying that one bar =14.5 psi would be way off.

How long should I hold the phone?

One atm = 14.7 psi (atmosphere)
One bar = 14.5 psi
One hg/cm² = 14.22 psi (what a lot of boost controllers/gauges read)
