I just dont think a single turbo MR2 can do it with a 4cyl. I would love to see it but, I just dont think it can happen with all the tough compettition at the uscc.

Good luck though. It will be awsome if he wins.

I think that the single turbo 4 cylinder is enough for reliable moderate power, and you dont need an AWD 750 hp machine to win. look at Chen's 350Z and the V6 MR2, both won, not making near the competitions power. just do well in all categories, i hope it holds together.

USCC? Ive never heard of such a thing?
Im gonna have to google this up...

*edit*
Just read USCC three and two (gotta go so no time to read the first).
Great stuff.
Honestly one of the coolest comparos I've read.
I like how they only give a maximum of 20 something points for the GDoHp test... it certainly is a cool test... but it shouldnt kill the results, and in this comparo it fits nicely.
My only gripe is with the "Car Show" test.
They should break it into two sections: The Rice Test (which would be the test as it is, flash wins) and the Taste Test (which would rate things like the sizing of the wheels/tires, selection and installation of spoilers and other aerodynamic enhancers, suspension setup, and exhaust).

But overall, it was a fun read and I look forward to the next one =)
Big kudos to SCC for devising such an interesting and invloving comparo.

Now that I've actually read the comparos and I know what's going on, my opinion of the MR2 in question is that it will need some good power (450rwhp with, obviously, a good delivery, which is definately possible) and some test time on a racetrack to get the car ready for the road course.
