good question.

i am curious myself as i have not seen any posts regarding aftermarket ignition systems that provide the IGf signal from the ignitor to the ECU.

this is on an 85 mr2 though.

I used the MSD blaster coil and and MSD box for 2-3 years.
The blaster coil ate up OEM ignition wires.

At this point I am on 100% OEM ignition and I suspect I may need more than what I have ... going to be looking into that soooooooon.

with any MSD, one needs to use a heli-wound core wire. it says so on all of the literature. you don't have to use a blaster 2 coil. only if you want to. many say it does nothing, but honestly, i think my idle is a little cleaner and the response is slightly improved. did i buy it for my car? no. i have both a 6A and a 6AL sitting around collecting dust, so i got bored and installed it. what you will need is the tach adapter. your car won't run without one. you will need the OEM ignitor. it helps if your car is slightly modified and or forced inducted. yes, this is on my MkI SC.
