Timing Belt replacement

Anyone Actually do their own timing belt and seal replacement? If so, would someone be willing to assist me in doing one on a 91 MR 2? I live in san luis obispo, would be happy to pay for the service and ability to learn the procedure. I can assist or accomodate with servicing you late Nissan 300zx, volkswagen etc. thanks ahead.

I'd be glad to help... but I'm stuck in tennessee!! the replacement of the t-belt can be done withthe engine still in the car.... I've done it twice already. if your timing is set properly now, all you should have to do is: remove the engine lid (of course)... side panels.... then the passenger rear wheel.... the crank-shaft pulley (19mm).... slightly jack up the engine to relieve the passenger side motor mount.... then remove the passenger side hoist hook... and bracket (14mm).... then the passenger side mount (two 14mm on the underside, and one 17mm through bolt).... then the numerous 10mm bolts holding on the upper and lower timing belt covers..... then loosen the timing belt tensioner (14mm) remove the belt..... install the new one... and reverse the process!
it sounds a little easier than it is, but it shouldn't take more than a few hours...
good luck with the repairs... let us know if you need any more info
