Hey, stoopid n00bie here...

...can anybody comment on the strength of the stock 3sgte connecting rods? What about weight? I've heard good things about the stock 3sgte bottom-end, but being a non-Toyota guy, I don't know the truth to what I've heard.

I'm actually looking for 3sgte connecting rods for a non-Toyota engine project that has few rod-options (big $$$ for anything suitable); the 3sgte rod is within the range of dimensions that would work with minor modifications. Anybody replace theirs with Eagle or other aftermarket and have some stock rods laying around? Let me know! Thanks in advance!

I have some stock GenII rods. They are tough from what I have seen. Some people have pulled 600 ft/lbs with the stockers!!!
