Those rankings are always about 3 years behind, so that survey was looking at the 2005 model year. I believe 2005 was a big year for complete redesigns and new launches for Toyota...and with new models/redesigns always comes a high amount of "quirks" (i.e. some early 2005 Tacoma's had a lot of issues). You'll probably see them steadily climb towards #1 again over the next year or two simply because those surveys will reflect fewer new models/redesigns. Toyota is usually pretty good at shaking all the bugs out of their designs by the 2nd and 3rd model years.
