Atten '92 Camry Geniuses
My 1992 Camry has a probelm. On the dashboard, it has automatic tranmission status indicators (aka P/R/N/D/2/1). Only the P/N/1/2 will illuminate as I shift through the gears. What is worse, no only does the "R" not illuminate, it will not turn on the back up lights, either. If, while the shift lever is is the "reverse" position, I push the lever hard to the left, the dash light/back up lights may flicker and even stay on for a bit.
I ask you guys because I have searched Clilton's and the web and I'll be darned if I'm going to pay Toyota $89 just to look at it and more to repair it. I have also taken the whole cowl apart, looking for a bad module, and not been able to find the location.
Please advise.
