quick suspension patch?

So my rear springs are done, at least one side is really bad, making it hard as hell to drive on the hwy which I have to to get to my gf's. I was wondering if there is a quick suspension fix. I have another set for the rear but I need sway bar links where are 50 something each, and since I JUST bought an mx6 which I am going to quickly repair and throw on the road so I can fix the corolla I have no intention of spending that kind of money on the corolla right now.

Anyways to get to the point I was wondering if a hockey puck between the springs would work, someone suggested it to me, I've also seen rubber wedges but they were in an old 60's caddy and they might not have them around anymore.
