Hello everyone,

Does anyone have any idea how much it costs to port and polish a head?

The head on my car is cracked and I'll be needing a new one. I have two options, tell me which one is better:
  • used regular head with cyliners, springs, valve, etc - $60-80 (estimated cost)
  • used port and polished head without the extras - $300

Uck, anyone willing to lend me money? Haha, seriously, I don't know if I have enough saved up to pay for a new head and the $900 estimated labour fee!

I think the labour will be cheaper if I bought the port and polished head, I think. Then again, I'm technically challenged in terms of how cars work. So I need somebody's advice!

Kevin
