Presumably, you're talking about Silverstars vs. PIAA's.
I've had both -- and I got tired of Silverstars crapping out after six months, so I moved to PIAA's. I don't know if there's that much of a difference in brightness or color temperature (some of that depends upon the model from each brand you buy), but in my experience, I'm getting much longer life out of PIAA's compared to Silverstars.
No, I don't want to even think about going with HID systems, but yes, I do want something other than yellow halogens. PIAA Xtreme Whites do just fine for what I want....
